Kevin Sorochan

Ph.D. Candidate

Current Research Kevin

My thesis work is focused on predation of benthic marine invertebrate larvae by pelagic predators. My objectives are to estimate the impact of certain predators on larval populations using field, lab, and modelling approaches derived from techniques originally developed in the field of zooplankton feeding ecology, which have been underutilized by larval ecologists. This work will be useful in assessing the importance of predation to the overall mortality experienced during the larval phase of benthic marine invertebrates.
